about

Christmas 2011. My very first Christmas ditty! :) Based on living in Florida during the Winter months and missing Winter weather.

lyrics

A Cozy Christmas

Sitting outside, watchin' the clouds float.
It's a December day, but I don't need a coat
It ain't cold.

Oh how I wish you were by my side.
We'd wave our magic wands and take a carpet ride
To the cold.

Bundle up and take a sleigh into the night
Where they say the snow's a fright.

Chorus 1:
I've been dreaming of a colder place.
I've been dreaming of snow days
Where we can snuggle close like cozy eskimos
In the cold.

We could go and put a sweater on our cat.
Shake the sugary snow off onto the welcome mat
In the cold.

I'll heat up the cider and put it in your cup.
We might even need socks to heat our feet up
In the cold.

I really hope we get to meet that guy
With the button nose and corn cob pipe.

Chorus 2:
I've been dreaming of holly leaves.
I've been dreaming of blankets with sleeves.
Our lips will stick together in the harsh and crispy weather
It's the cold.

Bridge:
Snowflakes come play, play with me (x100 million).

By a dim and auburn fire I rest upon your lap.
Don't forget the milk and cookies if I begin to nap
In the the cold.

Chorus 3:
I've been dreaming of hot cocoa.
I've been dreaming of frostbit toes.
I've been dreaming of a colder place.
I've been dreaming of a snow day with you.
